Corey T. Collins (Globke), 42, of Racine, WI. Born in West Branch, MI.

Husband, son, brother, nephew, friend, teacher, mentor, artist, creator. All of these describe our beloved Corey Collins, 42, of West Branch, MI, yet do not fully encapsulate this wonderful man gone way too soon. He was complex and deep, as well as full of love and light, with a memorable laugh that was silenced too soon.

Corey is survived by husband of 20 years, Kevin Collins. They shared a life based on mutual love and understanding and had as strong a bond that even death could not sever. He also leaves behind an adoring sister-in-law, Debora Collins, and brother-in-law Brian Collins, his wife Jade and his nieces Greenlee and Scarlett, whom he adored. Corey also leaves behind his family of origin, Mother Betty, father Dave and sisters Cristy, and Stephanie.

Corey was loved by many, his friends numerous and dedicated. He shared a love of costume design and theatre with close friends, Liz, Elizabeth, TJ, and Travis, and so many more that could be acknowledged. Often his friends worked alongside him, sharing many laughs as well as stressful moments in the sometimes breakneck speed of the Theatre World, which he loved and thrived in. Again, too many colleagues-turned-friends to name, but each acknowledged with sincere love and affection. He was additionally a proud and diligent teacher and mentor to many, sharing his passion for his craft and his generosity of spirit. He was a kind hearted man through and through. He leaves behind joyous memories and love that will be felt forever.

A Celebration of Corey’s life will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021, 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet the family for visitation Saturday, 1:00 PM until time of service at the funeral home.

Flowers and indoor plants are welcomed by the family, as well as a donation to the family directly or the go fund me set up in Kevin’s name. If you would like to honor his commitment and love of the Theatre, we recommend Meadowbrook Theatre or The Redford Theatre, both in Michigan.
