Geraldine Jones

Surrounded by her loving family, Geraldine (Nee: Cooper) Jones, age 92, passed away Monday July 4th, 2022, at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine, WI. Aunt Ger as she was affectionately called by her nieces and nephews was born in Freeman Spur, IL on December 07,1929 to the late Peter and Marnie (Nee: Browder) Cooper.

Geraldine moved to Racine, WI in the 1950s, where she would eventually meet and marry her long-time husband Otis Jones on April 25, 1973. They were married 45 years prior to his passing in 2018.

Geraldine was a very hard and dedicated worker. Working for Johnson Wax and the Johnson family for many years prior to retiring in the mid-1990s.

During her free time, she traveled. She loved traveling and had taken more than 20 cruises throughout her lifetime. She bowled with her husband. She loved to tend to the flowers in her yard and admire them as she also enjoyed sitting out on her porch. Geraldine loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She lived her life to the fullest!!

Left to cherish her memory, her children, Otis D. Jones, Carolyn Cleveland, Brenda Jones, Donny L. Jones; sister, Irene Cooper; nieces; Michelle Cooper, Gail Causey, Yvonne Dawson; nephews, Floyd Cooper, Thomas Cooper, Dewayne Cooper, Dwight Cooper, Travis Cooper, Leonard Gibson; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, many dear friends and longtime neighbors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; siblings, Fennimore Cooper, Homer Cooper, Floyd Cooper, Donald Ray Cooper, Theda Gibson, Nadine Stephens; nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

Funeral Services celebrating Geraldine’s life will be held at the funeral home, Monday, July 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet for Visitation, Monday at 10:00 AM until time of service.
