Gertrude E. "Gerty" Easton

Gertrude E. Easton, “Gerty”, age 79, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Reedsburg, WI, February 21, 1938, daughter of the late Ewald and Selma (Nee: Muchow) Rathman.

On July 3, 1965 in Racine she was united in marriage to Preston L. Easton who preceded her in death September 9, 1998. She was employed by E.C.M. Motors from 1993-2002. An excellent cook, she also enjoyed reading, cleaning, and yardwork. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children Marjorie (Eddie) Green of Racine, Carol (Robert) Iverson of Kenosha, Lester Rathman of Racine, Larry Easton of Racine, Donald Easton of Racine, Raymond Easton of Racine, John Easton of Union Grove, Roger Easton of Vacherie, LA, Susan (James) Canady of Racine; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers and sister, John Rathman, David (Beatrice) Olin, Charles Olin, all of NE; sisters, Virginia (Robert) Easton of IN, Elaine Murdock, Cathy Volmer, Patricia Olin, all of NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends; host of other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Gary (Jane) Beertzer, infant sister, Josephine, and brothers, Joey and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Friday, February 23, 2018, 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
