Daughter of the late Edward and Stella (Nee: Kaczmarowski) Sokolowski, at the age of 78, passed away on Thursday, March 24th, 2022. She was born in South Milwaukee on July 29, 1943, and married Raymond Pawlak on August 4th, 1962. They had 3 children, Lisa Rae, Christopher Joseph, and Michael Anthony.

Daughter Lisa went to school in Minnesota and later married Blake Jacobson. Lisa died on February 26, 1994. Jean and Ray also lost a grandson, Joshua Pawlak on May 1st, 1996.

Jean was employed by Johnson Bank for over 28 years. She was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church for some 50 years. She was also the recording secretary for over 10 years for the third order of St. Augustinian at St. Rita’s Church. Jean and Ray also provided bookkeeping services together for the parish.

Jean is survived by her husband, Raymond; her sons Christopher and Michael (Karen) Pawlak; her grandchildren; Alexandria, Tiffinni, Beckett and Zoey and great granddaughter Skylar; sister-in-law, Sue Dudzik. She is preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Jacobson, grandson Joshua Pawlak and brothers, Jerome, and Robert Sokolowski.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Jean’s life will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, 11:00 AM at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave. with Rev Michael Petersen officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy. 32. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation, Friday, 10:00 AM until time of Mass at the church. Memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church have been suggested by the family.

The family extends sincere appreciation to all who cared for their mother’s needs, including Ascension Healthcare and Compassus Hospice care at her home.
