John Philip Dunk

John Dunk, age 65, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Hospice Alliance. He was born in Kenosha, September 26, 1959, son of the late Gene and Judith (Nee: Seitz) Dunk.

John was a graduate of Walden High School, “Class of 1977”. John spent the majority of his professional career in the car business, then followed his dream of owning a beach bar by opening John’s Dock and most recently Dunk’s Public House. John was passionate about his community and was the past president of the Tavern League of Wisconsin-Racine.

John was loved dearly and will be missed by his children, Johnny (Erica) Dunk, Nicki (Noah) Jacobsen, Ben (Ashley) Dunk; grandchildren, Miles, Lincoln, Aurelia and Jaycen; siblings, Julie (Pete) Nelson, Eugene (Dawn) Dunk, Jerome (Jean) Dunk, Virginia Dunk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Jonathan, his grandson, Elwood, and his wife Heidi (Nee: Eisenhut) Dunk.

A celebration of John’s life will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Preservation Hall, 740 Lake Ave.
