Life Story / Obituary
Steven Edward Kral, age 68, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee. Steve was born in Hinsdale, Illinois, November 1, 1956, son of the late Robert Kral and Loretta Marie (Nee: Bird) Burke.
Steve was a proud graduate of Lyons Township High School, “Class of 1974”. He then furthered his education receiving his Associates degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) in 1994. Not long after this he began working as a Tool and Die maker at In-Sink-Erator where he worked for many years. He was also a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection
Steve was an extremely skilled craftsman who loved fixing cars, building woodwork, putzing with DIY projects and working in his yard. He was also an avid outdoorsman whose lifelong love was boating, skiing, tubing and spending time on the water, especially in his favorite place, Dewey Lake, Michigan with his beloved cousins and family. Steve was also a former member of the Ducks Unlimited Wisconsin Chapter. He also enjoyed all types of music but especially loved The Beatles and classic rock.
He was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by the joy of his life, his daughter, Maggie Kral (Andrew Kirchmeier); the mother of his daughter and dear friend, Tracy Travis; brother John (Cathy) Kral; sister, Deborah Kral (Bill Shepard); nephews Warren (Heather) Kral and Geoffrey (Brie Anne) Kral; and numerous wonderful cousins and dear friends.
