Teresa Joann Treptow "Terry"

With her sons by her side, Teresa Joann Treptow (Terry), age 63, passed away on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at Kenosha Crossroads Care Center. She was fighting COPD for almost 4 years. Teresa was born in Georgia on November 16, 1956 and moved to Wisconsin when she was young.

Terry was an avid food lover and enjoyed cooking. She was a cook for over 30 years of her life at Derango’s in Racine. Terry had 5 children; Maria, Tracy, Jessica, Marcos and John. Terry also loved sci-fi and fantasy based things, Unicorns and Dragons were here favorite. Terry loved to read during her life with some of her favorite authors being; Stephen King, John Grisham, Mary Higgins Clark and many more. Terry was known to be a “pistol” for her sharp wit and her sass, the nurses caring for her specifically loved these traits. Terry spent the last few years of her life spending time with her family, and her grandchildren whenever possible. Terry will be remembered most for her strength and humor. John, her youngest son, and her had an ongoing “Dummy” joke for whenever one of them would mess something up. Terry had always had a unique ability to brighten your day even when no one else could. Terry lived by a simple motto of “Just move forward”. No matter what happened you couldn’t change it so just move forward and make better what you can. This is not goodbye, it’s see you later!

Forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten! We love you mom thank you for everything you gave us during life and watch over us in death. Save us a spot up there dummy!

Terry was preceded in death by two of her daughters; Jessica and Tracy. She is survived in life by her Daughter Maria Corbin and sons Marcos Rojas and John Best. She also has several grandchildren, friends, and other family that will miss her dearly.

Private services were held by the Sons through Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home.
