Therissa "Terri" Marie Hanscom

Therissa (Terri) Marie Hanscom (nee: Thompson), age 74, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center peacefully on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022. She was born in Racine, December 2nd, 1947, daughter of Douglass G. Thompson, Sr. and Eunice M. Thompson.

On January 24th, 1997, she was united in marriage to her best friend, James E. Hanscom, in Racine, WI. She was employed throughout her life in many customer service positions where she made many friends. Cooking from Taster’s Choice to Buckets, bartending from Shilalee Club to Topper’s. Terri also played softball, bowled, and shot pool in leagues in Racine through the years. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles (in ink!), bird watching, and collecting decorative raccoons. She also loved going on adventures with her husband and spending time with her friends and family.

Surviving are her husband of 25 years, James; children, Traci (Brian) and Angel; grandchildren, Chris, Rylee, and Devyn; siblings, Sandra and Douglass (Michelle); niece and nephew, Liz (Cal) and Dan (Jenna); many cousins; and too many friends to count. Private services were held.

Terri’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ridgewood, especially those on one-east, for their kindness and support.
