Life Story / Obituary
Betty Lou Palubicki, age 81, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Hospitality Manor, Kenosha. Betty was born in Racine, November 17, 1932, daughter of the late John S. and Barbara (Nee: Szekley) Kovach.
On September 1, 1956 at St. Rose Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Clarence “Clem” J. Palubicki who preceded her in death, September 19, 2009. Betty was a fabulous cook, party organizer, and enjoyed shopping for others. Above all she was a loving and devoted wife and mother to her family who will be deeply and sadly missed.
Survivors include her five children, Daniel (Melissa) Palubicki, Diane Matter, Donna (Scott) Hooten, Debra Palubicki, David (Paula) Palubicki, all of Racine; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Kay Dulski of Minneapolis, MN, Delas Palubicki of Perham, MN, Margaret Kovach and Virginia Kovach, both of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her great grandchild, Nevin S. Matter; brothers and sister, John Kovach, William Kovach, Rudy Kovach, and Elizabeth (Albert) Berry.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in Racine at Maresh-Merdith & Acklam Funeral Home 5-7 P.M. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be held at St. Henry’s Catholic Church 234 2nd Ave SW, Perham, MN, Saturday, May 24, 2014, 11:00 A.M. followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
