Life Story / Obituary
Gregory Thomas Braun, age 49, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 10, 2018. He was born in Racine, September 26, 1968, son of Gerald and Susan (Nee: Lizdas) Braun.
Greg graduated from J.I. Case High School “Class of 1986”. On July 15, 1989, he was united in marriage to Bobbie Ann Placencia and they were blessed with two beautiful children, Kyle and Taylor. Greg had worked for Racine Telecable, now Spectrum for the past 30 years. He loved his Harley. He enjoyed going for long rides on warm days with his music blaring. Greg appreciated anything with music- be it going to concerts or collecting CDs and memorabilia. He also enjoyed time spent with family and friends playing softball and dartball or just doing projects around the house. Greg was a devoted son, husband, and father who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Bobbie; children, Kyle (Maddie) Braun, Taylor Braun (TJ Andersen); mother, Susan Braun; brother, Robert (Kim) Braun; mother -in-law, Carmen (Luis) Castro-Garza; father-in-law, Robert (Linda) Babel; sisters-in-law, Carmella Strock, Raquel Granados; brother-in-law, David (Lillian) Granados; aunt, Kay Maletis; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives ,many dear friends and his four legged companions, his dog Jake and grand dog Ruger. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald; grandparents, Thomas and Olive Lizdas, Frank and Clare Braun; and his uncle, Milt Maletis.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Friday, March 16, 2018, 4- 6:30 P.M. with a time of remembering to follow at 6:30 P.M. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
