Surrounded by his loving family, Israel Luis, age 65, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico, September 25, 1954, son of the late Mario and Leandra (Nee: Vasquez) Luis.

Israel was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church. He will forever be remembered for love of singing and dancing. Above all Israel was devoted to and cherished time with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Angelina (Nee: Ruiz-Hernandez); his children, Israel Luis Jr., Mario Luis, Abraham Luis; sisters and brothers, Adelina (Guillermo) Ruiz, Luz Maria (Victorino) Olivera, Noemi (Abel) Lopez, Efren Luis, Abelardo Luis, Gerado (Martha) Luis; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Aidee Luis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 2, 2019, 10:30 am at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family have been suggested.
