Jermaine LaVale Martin, age 49, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Racine, Wisconsin, January 8, 1971, son of the late Carvin and Dorothy (Nee: Judon) Martin.

As a young man of faith, Jermaine was currently a member of Shiloh Stronghold Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, and watching TV. He worked at Lakeside Curative as a fork lifter and he was a cook and a driver at Pizza Chef.

Jermaine loved to laugh and “The Three Stooges” was among one of his favorites shows. Above all Jermaine treasured time spent with his family and he especially loved the time spent with his nieces and nephews. Jermaine was a large man with a large heart described by his family as a big “Teddy Bear”. He will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is mom, Jessie Mae Grandberry– Martin; his siblings, Yvonne (Ernest) Daniels of Detroit, MI, Anne Pope, Toni Martin, Koren Martin, Darvin Martin, Sheila Martin, Patricia (Roosevelt) Henderson, John Martin, Linda Grandberry, Lonnie Grandberry, Nathaniel Grandberry, Alcindor Grandberry and Tiffany Grandberry; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Peter (nee: Emma Johnson) and Mr. & Mrs. Curtis (nee: Leila Carothers); brother Calvin; his sister, Michelle; two nephews, one niece; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
