Joann A. Quinn, age 97, of Racine, died Friday December 12, 2025. Joann was born in Gratiot, WI on March 7, 1928, daughter of the late Joseph and Willadean “Billie” (nee: Clark) Ayers.

On April 6, 1946 in Racine, Joann married the love of her life, Clifford Quinn. They raised four children, James, Steven, Cyndi, and Brian, and shared fifty-six beautiful years together before Cliff passed away in 2002.

In her younger years, Joann worked as a Telephone Operator, for ten years, with her sister Rose at Wisconsin Belle Telephone company, where she made many friendships.

She was employed at JC Penny’s as a clerk in the Candy Dept. She also worked at Voorlas, on the assembly line. Joann was later employed with JI Case/CNH for 17 years before retiring.

In her spare time, Joann was an avid reader. She enjoyed her time with her card and game clubs.

Joann really enjoyed her time up north in Crivitz where she raced around on scooters, boats and snowmobiles with the “Swampriders” and later slowed down on the pontoon boat.

She also loved testing her luck at the casinos with bingo and slots.

Joann will be best remembered for her Great spirit and her deep love and devotion to her family and Friends.

Joann will be dearly missed and is survived by her children, Jim (Sandy) Quinn, Cyndi (Jay) Warnock and Brian (Kathleen) Quinn.

She is further survived by her Grandchildren, Jerrod (Dana) Quinn, Brandon Quinn (Katie Fritsch), Gina Chavez, Donna Smith, Ryan (Sarah) DeCraene, Shayne (Megan) Warnock, Amanda (Troy) Treuber, Chelsea (Andrew) Coe, Teagan (Greg) Silvers. Great Grandchildren: Amber (Paul) Segura, Angie Sanders, Jesse Fuller, Hannah (Angel) Castro. Baylee, Brayden and Bentlyn Quinn, Gavin and Kaia Quinn, Austin, Lucas and Hannah DeCraene, Peyton, Will and Emery Warnock, Ann-Marie (Justin) Sanchez, Kaylee (Nate) Mathis, Megan (Jake) Mathis, Donavon Treuber, Wyatt, Elliott and Elise Coe and Vitali Silvers.

Joann is also survived by 4 Great Great Grandchildren; Her Brother, John Ayers, Sister-in-law, Bonnie Ayers; Special Nieces and Nephews: Leanne, Jim, Tim, Danny and Terri as well as the remaining relatives and friends.

In, addition to her parents and husband, Joann was also preceded in death by her son, Steven and her siblings, Rose (Robert) Reilly, Betty (Gordon) Goebel, Gerald “Jerry” Ayers, Mary (Bob) DuMont and Patricia (Ted) Boehme.

Visitation will be held at Maresh-Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home Thursday Dec. 18, 2025, 11am-12 pm with a service to follow at 12 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to: The Racine Humane Society, have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Brookside Care Center, Clear Sky Rehabilitation Hospital, and Centerwell Home Healthcare. (Especially: Shawn, Dan and Annette), and the late Dr. Mark DeCheck for their loving and compassionate care.
