Julie Ann Bergsrud

Julie Ann Bergsrud, age 61, passed away at her residence on January 27, 2022. Julie was born in Racine on Easter Sunday, April 17, 1960, daughter of the late Charles and Marion (nee: Kosterman) Hird.

She attended J.I. Case High School. On May 31, 1980, Julie was united in marriage to James L. Bergsrud Sr. She had been a bus driver for the City of Racine for the past ten years, The most important job to Julie was raising her two children, Jimi and Jayme. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be best remembered for her great love and devotion to her family and friends.

Julie will be dearly missed by her husband, Jim Bergsrud; children, Jimi Bergsrud Jr. (Tina Shaw), Jayme Bergsrud (Andrew Lafave); grandchildren, Dayleen Bergsrud, Jessica Bergsrud, James Bergsrud III, Dakota Bergsrud; great grandchildren, Jace Bergsrud-Murphy, Corey, Kane and Carson Fields; brothers, Charles (June) Hird Jr., John (Janet) Hird; brother-in-law, Michael Bennett; best friend, Michael Fremut; other -in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Julie was also preceded in death by her sister, Debra Bennett.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday February 4, 2022, 12:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m..
