Mary Ellen Shelton, age 83, reached her final destination to eternal life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was born in Milwaukee, October 13, 1938, daughter of the late Paul Norbert, Sr. and Katherine Mary (Nee: Ripple) Werth. She was one of seven children, Paul, Fran, Jean, John, Fred, and Bernice.

She was United in marriage to Ronald James Shelton on April 4,1958

Mary spent all her life transporting people to their own daily destinations. She was a school bus driver for 30 years, then began driving the trolley in both Racine and Kenosha, giving tours and history of both cities. She also drove for Kas Transportation driving limousine and medical transport. She took people to both Milwaukee and Chicago airports. Mary also worked for Home Instead Healthcare when she took care of two elderly women; Gertrude and Evelyn whom she adored. Mary was not afraid to work hard. What mattered most to her was her family. A true Christian woman.

Surviving are her 4 children, David (Karen) Shelton, LoEtta (Rich) Nutt, Crystal (David) Potrikus, Leslie (Patrick) Saladis; 8 grandchildren: Greg (Katja) Gagnon, Madison Shelton, Austin Potrikus, Alexandria Shelton, Ryan (Erin) Gagnon, Joshua Bahling, Jacob Bahling and Jade Bahling; 5 great grandchildren: Kaydin Gagnon, Paige Potrikus Gwendolyn Gagnon, Keegan Gagnon, and August Bahling; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating Mary's life will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Bill Mains officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Living Faith Church, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church or the Alzheimer’s Foundation have been suggested.
