It is with warm hearts and fond memories that we share the news of the passing of our mother and grandmother, Mary L. Eschmann, of Racine, Wisconsin, on March 13, 2025. Mary lived a remarkable 88 years, always positive, choosing to look on the bright side of life and sharing her positivity.

Mary was born December 31, 1936 to the late Edward and Elsie Tobias. Mary was not just a mother and grandmother; she was also a vibrant friend who cherished time spent with her close friends, shopping, having lunch dates, or going to the movies. She brought joy and fun wherever she went, and especially enjoyed brightening a stranger’s day at every opportunity. She loved to read, tend to her yard, and she was a diehard Packers fan. But, most of all, she swelled with pride over her grandchildren. They truly were her pride and joy.

Mary is survived by her son, Greg (Machelle) Eschmann; her daughter-in-law, Karen Eschmann; grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael Medau) Anderson-Medau, Sarah (Christopher) Jansa, Charles Eschmann, Bailey Eschmann, Sawyer Eschmann, and great granddaughter Riley Knauer; and, her dearest, lifelong, friend, Geri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas Tobias; husband, Charles Eschmann; and son, Steven Eschmann.

We are deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Ridgewood Care Center. Mary loved the specific staff dedicated to her care and always had sweet or entertaining stories to tell about their time together.

The Funeral will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral home, Thursday, April 10th. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. The service will be at 11 AM. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband, at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
