Mary Louise Walker, age 74, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Villa at Lincoln Park. She was born in Carbondale, IL, August 18, 1951, daughter of George and Florence (Nee: Tisdale) Scott.

Mary graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1969”. On March 10th, 1970, in Waukegan, Ill she was united in marriage to Tommie Lee Walker Sr who preceded her in death June 16th 1996. Mary attended Lakeview Church of Christ. She was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years working at Westview Nursing Home and Lincoln Village Convalescent Center. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and will be remembered for her kind heart. Mary’s passion was taking care of others. She always had an open door to those who needed help. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sons, Tommy L. Walker Jr., Brian K. Walker, Frank D. Walker, and Michael J.Walker; grandchildren, Chezarae Wyatt (Berevon), Aquaquial Walker, Darius Walker, Shamyreeale Walker, Aubreyaliyah Walker, Jade Ollie, Annesha Walker, Tilesha Walker 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Scott, George Shelton; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by an infant son, Darrell Wayne Walker; sister, Ida Mae (Frank) Raben; and brother, James Scott.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Sunday, October 12, 2025 1 pm. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 12-1 pm.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff and nurses at Ascension All Saints and Villa at Lincoln Park for their loving and compassionate care.
