Surrounded by her loving family, Ora Lee Conner, age 85, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022, at her residence. She was born in Isola, Mississippi, February 19, 1937, daughter of the late Golden and Lillie (Nee: Stewart) Wright.

On August 16, 1955 she was united in marriage to Willie J. Conner who preceded her in death, March 12, 1997. Ora was employed by Westview Nursing Home for twenty years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Ora’s pastimes included gardening, walking, fishing, and playing bingo. Most of all she loved and cherished time spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Joe Conner, Mildred Conner, both of Racine; her son-in-law, OJ Simpson of GA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, T.J. (Ella) Hubbard of Racine, Ramsey Hubbard of MS, Bonnie Jean (EC) Moore of Chicago, IL, Mildred Redmond of Racine, Bernice Owens of Chicago, IL, Edna Green of Chicago, IL, Phyllis Adam of MS, and Brenda Hooker of MN; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughters, Carmen Simpson, Tina Conner; her brothers, Willie Hubbard and Charles Hubbard; and sister, Mattie Collins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Mosley officiating. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
