Phyllis L. Wilson, age 91, died Tuesday July 6, 2021 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. Phyllis was born in Kenosha on June 19, 1930, daughter to the late William and Ida (nee: Fischer) Langenbach.

On November 10, 1956, Phyllis was united in marriage to the love of her life, Harry R. Wilson. They shared fifty-three beautiful years together and raised six children before Harry’s death on April 18, 2010. Phyllis was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She was an exceptionally talented individual. She was a professional singer and artist. She sang in her church choir and was a member of The Racine Chorale Singers. She was a charter member of the Artists Gallery in Racine and served as a board member. Also, she was a board member for the Racine Arts Council. Phyllis was known for the art pieces and cards she created from her handmade paper. She volunteered in her community and tutored at the Racine Literacy Council. She loved traveling and sharing her adventures. She’ll be remembered for her generous spirit, her kind and gentle manner and her great love and devotion to her family and friends.

Phyllis will be profoundly missed by her children, Brian Wilson of Gurnee, IL, Brooke Wilson of Racine and Bret Wilson of Antioch, IL, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Lois (Chester) Himmelein; brother, Gerald (Helen) Langenbach; and stepchildren, Robert (Julie) Wilson, Virginia (Peter) Palmgren, Louise Carpenter.

Visitation will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 40 Ohio Street, on Saturday July 17, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service celebrating Phyllis’s life to start at 11:00 a.m. Memorials to Covenant Presbyterian Church have been suggested.
