It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Stevie Williams at the age of 63 on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his home in Milwaukee, WI. Born on January 21, 1962, in Milwaukee, he was a cherished son of the late James Williams and Louella Rucker.

Stevie’s journey began at North Division High School in Milwaukee, and he later spent many years in Racine. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself to serving his community, first with Lincoln Lutheran Services and later with the City of Racine’s Department of Public Works, where he lovingly served for 14 years before retiring. Even after retirement, he continued to give back by working at Ascension All Saints in Milwaukee for a few more years.

Known for his infectious smile and boundless love, Stevie cherished the moments spent with family and friends. He found joy in firing up the grill and his love of cars. Two passions everyone who knew him will remember him for. He possessed a unique talent for bringing people together, frequently organizing gatherings that nurtured relationships and fostered meaningful connections. Those who knew him will remember him not only for his kindness and strong character but also for his unwavering dedication to others and the profound values he shared. His spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Stevie leaves behind his beloved spouse, Lora Williams, as well as his children, Quandaa Williams, Stevie Akridge, and Krystal Akridge. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Sylvester Gray, Lashonda Gray, Reneshia (Shavonta) Simpson, Tia Albritton, and Quadia Albritton; his cherished grandchildren; and his siblings, Maurice Williams, James “Puncho” Williams, Devin Williams, Lamont Chappell, Minnie “Tootsie” Hawkins, Pamela Williams, Antonio Chappell, Barbara Williams, Dolores Williams, Dimetra Chappell, Deshawn Chappell, Monique Chappell, Tyra Holmes, and Jaunetta Chappell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as his brothers James “Puncho” Williams, Antonio Chappell, DeShawn Chappell, and his sister, Minnie “Tootsie” Hawkins.

We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Stevie’s life during the funeral service at the funeral home on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Before the service, loved ones are encouraged to gather at 12:00 PM to share their memories and support one another during this difficult time.
