Ann Salerno passed away peacefully on Saturday night, February 8, 2025. Ann graduated from UW Parkside with a major in English and a minor in Women's Studies after helping to found and run the Women’s Resource Center at the university.

She sang both as the front woman or special guest vocalist in many Racine rock, jazz, swing and Blues Bands over the years including the Rich Relatives, Groth Potential, Just the Two of Us, John Bunic Big Band and Salco. Her powerful and recognizable voice won her Best Female Vocalist for the Racine Journal times on multiple occasions.

Ann devoted her career to enriching the lives of her residents and second family in the senior living communities of Mt Carmel in Burlington, WI and Meadowmere, Mitchell Manor and ManorPointe of Oak Creek, WI, where she served as the activities director. Ann touched the lives of many people and made every day bright and special, leaving smiles in her wake.

Ann had a love of music, art, ballet, theater, poetry, animals, activism, estate sales, gardening, fashion, drag queens, books and films. Her style was legendary and she radiated confidence and passion in everything that she did.

Ann was preceded in death by Sam and Ann Salerno (parents) Tony Salerno (brother) and John Williams (father of her children and former husband). She is survived by her son Sam (Tony) Williams, daughter Anna Williams, brother Sam (Sue) Salerno, sister-in-law Penny Salerno, her dog Lily, her extended family and all of her second family at Meadowmere.

The family would like to extend thanks to the friends and family that assisted in caring for her in her final months and to Aurora at Home Zilber Family Hospice for making her final days comfortable and her passing peaceful.

Relatives and friends are invited to A Celebration of Ann’s life to be held Friday, March 14, 2025, 12 pm Noon at Infusino's Banquet Hall, 3201 Rapids Drive, Racine, WI 53404
