Bonnie J. High, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021, at Seasons Hospice-Ignite in Oak Creek Wisconsin. She was born on February 12, 1937, the youngest of four children to L.C. Pannel and Corena Foote.

On December 4th, 1954 in New Albany MS, Bonnie was united in marriage to Joseph Franklin High. Shortly after, they moved to Racine Wisconsin. This union was blessed with four children, Joseph High Jr, Gregory High, Anthla High and Tanger High. Bonnie and Joseph united with St Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. J. B. Baily. Bonnie was very active in her church, the music ministry, the kitchen, and other different auxiliary’s of the church. Bonnie also helped other Churches in the community offering her services playing piano.

Many people in the community will remember Bonnie as the librarian at the MLK Center Book House, affectionately known as Ms High, helping children with their reading, math, arts and craft’s. Bonnie has won numerous awards and recognition for her work in her community. Bonnie will be remembered fondly for her kind and gentle ways and her deep love and devotion to her family.

Bonnie will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, La Toya High, Larissa (Tim)Payne, Gregory High Jr, Samuel High, Melissa High, Shanae High, 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her Husband, Bonnie was also preceded in death by her mother, Corena Foote, Father, L.C. Pannel, Brother Ben “Pee Wee” Gordon, and sister, Flummerean(Leroy Hill).

Homegoing services will be held at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Avenue, on November 20th Saturday, 11:00 a.m, with Bishop L.L. Kirby officiating.
