Christopher J. Burrill

With his family by his side, Christopher J. Burrill, age 68, passed away on Friday January 24, 2020 at his residence. Christopher was born in Fon du Lac, WI on June 4, 1951, son of the late John and Donna (Kienow) Burrill.

Chris proudly served in the US Armed Forces, retiring as an E-7 from the Army after twenty-two years of service. On July 27, 1974, he was united in marriage to Mary A. Bartes at St. Michael Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together they raised three children, Jared, Rebecca and Nichole. Following retirement, Chris enjoyed riding his lawn tractor in his yard and surrounding areas to the delight of his neighbors.

Chris will be dearly missed by his wife of forty-five years, Mary; his children, Jared (Mandy) Burrill, Rebecca Burrill (fiancé, Kurt Wipperfurth), Nichole Tiefenbacher (fiancé, Eric Tanner); grandchildren, Diesel, London, Dakota, Zoe and Savannah; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; special nephew, Eric (Erica) Burrill; other nieces and nephews; lifelong friends, Bob (Yvonne) Engel and Tom Randt; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Chris was also preceded in death by his brothers William Burrill and Eugene Burrill.

Full Military Honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street Hwy C, Union Grove 53182 on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
