Colleen Ellen Goines, age 71, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born in Racine, WI, March 29, 1952, daughter of the late James and Clara (Nee: Flanigan) Cronin.

Colleen graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1970”. It was at a dance that she met the love of her life, LeRoy Goines and on July 21, 1972, they were united in marriage. Colleen had worked at Wheaton Franciscan Medical Center and retired from SC Johnson. She loved ME TV! and old TV series, doing genealogy, traveling and jazz concerts. She also loved/honored being a part of the military community and attending Army balls and events with her husband Sergeant Major (R) LeRoy Goines. She will be remembered for being very active with the Girl Scouts at St Lucy’s Church in Racine WI. Above all she treasured time spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, LeRoy; 3 children, Christine Goines, Jeffrey Goines (Tanya LaFary-Goines), and Maureen Goines; grandchildren, Lance (Cynthia), Alexia, Willie (Abbie), Marcel (Shelby) and Kyan; great grandchildren, Lance, Azazel, and Leonardo; siblings, Patrick Cronin, Mary Jane Factor, Trudy (Arthur) Gardner, Kathy (Tom) Hansen; mother-in-law Geraldine Goines; brother in law Bob Goines; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Daniel Scofield; sister-in-law, Barbara Goines; and father-in-law, R.L. Goines.

Funeral services will be held at funeral home, Sunday, February 4, 2024, 4 pm. with Rev Ken Mich officiating. Private interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 3-4 pm.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff, hospice at Ascension and Mount Peasant South Shore Rescue Department.
