Daniel Christopher Meader, 76, passed away on April 24, 2025, at Pleasant Point Senior Living. Chris was born on November 1, 1948, in Haddonfield, New Jersey to the late Daniel and Clarice (nee: Hagen) Meader. He was raised in Racine, WI, graduated from William Horlick High School and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Gateway Technical College. Eventually, he settled permanently in Racine, buying his childhood home.

Chris was employed by Baxter International in Waukegan, Illinois for most of his working days. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church in Racine and the Racine Lions Club for 44 years. Further, he was an active volunteer for the Hospitality Center Clothing Closet and Harvest Outreach food pantry. Chris enjoyed golf, bowling, and hunting on Washington Island with his brother Ross. He loved watching the Bears, and most of all, his Chicago Cubs.

Survivors include his sister Pamela (Rick) Bonanno of Kenosha, brother Kim (Kate) Meader of Gloucester, MA, and sister-in-law Cathy Meader of Washington Island; his six nephews and nieces, Brett, Davia, Garrett, Kiersten, Lauren, and Paige, and his long-time love, Debbie LaMeer. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ross and his nephew, Anders.

A Memorial Service celebrating Chris’s life will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road, with Rev. Beth Ann Stone officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Wednesday at 10:00 am until service at the church. Private interment will take place on Washington Island. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Racine Lions Club, Racine Hospitality Center or Harvest Outreach have been suggested.

The family would like to thank Pleasant Point Assisted Living and Hospice Alliance for the loving and compassionate care given to Chris.
