Surrounded by his family, David Arthur Teeter, age 86, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Azura Memory Care, Oak Creek. He was born in Hastings, MI, March 2, 1938, son of the late Arthur and Doris (Nee: Royer) Teeter.
David played football in high school and in Junior College where they had played in the Junior Rose Bowl in California. David proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1957-1960 stationed in Greenland. On July 5, 1958, he was united in marriage to Annabelle Orr and they were blessed with 3 children, Larry, Frankie, and Jeffrey. David was employed by J.I. Case Co. in Michigan and accepted a transfer moving to Racine in 1972. He was a member of the Franksville United Methodist Church, now Faith Bridge United Methodist.
David enjoyed working with his hands especially in metal fabrication. He could build just about anything and even in his retirement still created projects for J.I. Case. He also enjoyed model building, playing cards and NASCAR. David will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, being stern but fair, and for being very competitive. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Ann; children, Frankie (Dan) Zurawski, Jeffrey (Ruth) Teeter; grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Leopold, Mary (Cory) Knapp, Amy (Brent) Paeth, Matt Teeter (Shelby), Anna (Ryan) Zavodnik; 13 great grandchildren; his sister, Mary (Russ) Boyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Teeter on September 23, 2023; an infant brother, Burrel; sister, Millie (Paul) Jingozian; 5 sisters-in-law and husbands, and a brother-in-law.
Per Davids wishes services will be private.
