Surrounded by his loving family, Dennis Wayne Reeser, age 78, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Ascension Columbia St Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee. Dennis was born in Lockport, New York, January 26, 1947, son of the late David Grove and Thelma (Née: Hemmer) Reeser. Thelma married Robert Reeser, Dennis's Stepfather Robert Reeser on July 15th, 1960.

Dennis was a 1966 graduate of Wilson High School in Long Beach, Calif. and graduated from Long Beach City College in 1973.

He proudly served with the United States Marine Corps from 1968 through 1971. He met his wife while he was stationed in Hawaii. On June 15, 1974, he was united in marriage to Nancy Lynn Gillett. Dennis was employed for 31 years with Racine Unified School District retiring in 2006 as a Head Engineer. He was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church serving as an elder and a deacon. His activities included volunteering wherever he could such as at Toys for Tots, First Presbyterian, Courtesy driver for Ascension and attending multiple breakfast groups. Dennis enjoyed traveling and cheering on the Wisconsin sports teams. He also enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors at the family cabin in Northern Wisconsin and driving his red convertible.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, his children, Julia Reeser, Robert Reeser, brother, David Reeser (Mary Anne) of Lakewood, California, sister, Sheila Lee of Cookeville Tennessee, many nieces, and nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Lyman and Mary Gillett.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church 716 College Avenue with Rev. Darren Utley officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church from 10:00 until time of service which is at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Mound Cemetery at a later date.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Ascension Hospital Racine emergency room, Flight for life, and Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s for their heroic efforts aa well as Rev. Darren Utley for his support.

Memorials honoring Dennis may be sent to First Presbyterian Church or Toys for Tots.
