Donna Lee Buchek, age 90, passed away at her residence on Wednesday October 27, 2021. Donna was born in Milwaukee on October 30, 1930, the eldest of seven children, daughter of the late Harold and Leona (nee: Dornauf) Zimdars and graduated from Washington High School, Milwaukee.

On June 1, 1951, Donna was united in marriage to Edward Buchek. They shared thirty-six beautiful years together before Ed passed away in 1987. Donna was a longtime member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and their Senior Group. Donna was known to be kind, compassionate, loving, funny with a great sense of humor. She absolutely loved to dance and was doing so just three months ago. Eddie and Donna enjoyed many Saturday nights at the Eagles Club kicking up their heels. She also loved the trips she took with her sisters. We will miss her beyond words. She took great pride in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Donna will be dearly missed by her children, Debra (James) Boeck, Brenda (Mike) Garski, Mary (the late, Miles) Bengston; grandchildren, Christopher (Rachelle) Boeck-children, (Nolan, Trevor, Collin); Jennifer Roumani-sons, (Nathan, John); Steven (Jill) Boeck; Melissa (Joe) Figueroa- children, (Coen and Audra Huempfner); Michael Garski; Benjamin (Amanda) Bengston- children, (Aiden, Aubree, Amelia); Andrea (Matthew Lucas) Bengston- children, (Parker, Paxton, Porter, Pierce); Amber (Aaron Schultz) Bengston- daughter, (Emberly); siblings, William Zimdars, Pat Kissling, Chris Grennier, Sandra (Fred) Stephens; brother-in-law, Richard Fisher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was also preceded in death by her infant son, Edward; siblings, Nancy Fisher and Harold (Joanne) Zimdars; brothers-in-law, David Grennier, Richard Kissling, Joe Buchek and Donald Buchek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 3126 95th Street, Sturtevant, on Monday November 8, 2021, 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorials to the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Association, 620 S 76th Street #160, Milwaukee, WI 53214 have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Hospice Alliance and at Killarney Kourt for their loving and compassionate care.
