Ethel L. Malvasio

Ethel L. Malvasio, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, September 10, 2025. Ethel was born in Engelvale, ND on May 29, 1929, daughter of the late John and Jennie (nee: Steigler) Hammond.

On May 16, 1949, Ethel was united in marriage to Frank B. Malvasio. Ethel was employed as a nurse’s aide with the Southern Wisconsin Center for thirty-six years. She was a former member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church. In her spare time, Ethel enjoyed gardening, puzzles word searches and testing her luck at the casinos. She will be best remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Ethel will be dearly missed by her children, Shirley Jasperson, Peter Malvasio, William (Cathy) Malvasio, Andrew (Audrey) Malvasio, and Susan (John) Fink;14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Ethel was also preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1993, and her children, Frank, Jennie and Marcella.

Private family services will be held with interment at West Lawn Memorial Park.
