Frances Ann Pivek, age 94, was born into eternal life, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Racine, WI, July 11, 1929, daughter of the late Frank and Cecelia (Nee: Hegeman) Zenner.

Frances attended St. Catherine’s High School and had played on the basketball team. On July 1, 1950, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Richard M. Pivek who preceded her in death August 31, 1990. She had been employed by Hamilton Beach Mfg, Oster Mfg, and retired from Astronautics in 1993. Frances was a lifelong active member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed sports be it bowling on a league where she served as secretary or rooting for her favorite teams, the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and Bucks. She also enjoyed playing cards especially Sheepshead. She played in various Sheepshead clubs and taught everyone in her family how to play. It was time spent with her family that was number one. She will be remembered for her ability to make everyone feel special and to make family events extraordinary especially her Christmas baking and decorating. Frances was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children Roy (Terry) Pivek, Eileen Whisler, Rick (Mary) Pivek, Kathleen Oetzman, Maureen (Norman) Wilson; grandchildren, Corrine (Takashi) Yamamoto, Isaiah Pivek, Erika (Cory) Petersen, Heidi (Scott) Reynolds, Mark Pivek, Elena Pivek, Erin (Adam) Arceneaux, Sean Pivek, Sarah Oetzman, Dustin Oetzman, Norman Wilson III (Amanda Peterson), Christy (Nico) Contreras; great grandchildren, Brenden Kandl, Lacey Petersen, Emily Petersen, Ian Rhodes, Aiden Rhodes, Eva Rhodes, Elizabeth Rhodes, Weston Wilson, Sadie Wilson, Norman Wilson IV, Joseph Contreras; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Edward Allen Pivek; great-grandsons, Hunter and Forrest Wilson, great granddaughter, Winter Contreras; sister, Monica (Gordon) Svendsen; and brother, Donald Zenner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward Catholic Church, 1401 Grove Ave, Thursday, March 21, 2024, 10:30 am with Rev. Jose Mario Nieto officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Wednesday at the funeral home, 5-7 pm (Rosary at 7pm) and on Thursday at the church 9:30 am until 10:15 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Edward Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have been suggested.
