Frederick Miles Ramsey, age 73, beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend went to his Glory, Sunday, September 22, 2019.

Miles leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Maria; his sons, Christian of Long Beach, CA and David of Fort Worth, TX; his beloved sister Judy (Don) Holder of Huntsville, AL; and many loving nephews and nieces; grand nieces, grand nephews; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and numerous friends who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his son Michael, and his parents, Ruth and Lee Ramsey.

Miles was born in Newport News, VA and was raised in Huntsville, AL. He was an accomplished salesman of automobiles, jewelry and home appliances. He was well respected by his coworkers and will be missed.

Miles graduated from Lee High School in Huntsville, AL and attended the University of AL Extension. He played football, starting with Pee Wee, in middle school and varsity in high school. He loved golf and football and was an avid Alabama football fan. Roll Tide! He moved to California where he met his beautiful wife, Maria, and then was transferred to Houston, TX where they resided for 43 years moving to Racine in 2017. Miles was a member of Holy Family Church in Missouri City, TX for 40 years, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was currently a member of St. Richard’s Parish in Racine.

Miles was a people person and never met a stranger who didn’t quickly become a friend. He loved all people and made it his mission to tell them that God loved them even doing that in the last few minutes before his death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 1509 Grand Avenue, Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the Mass 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Assn, Parkinson’s Foundation or the Wisconsin Humane Society have been suggested.
