George A. Lambert, age 78, passed away suddenly on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. George was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 18, 1947, the youngest of three children of the late George and Cecilia (nee: Schobel) Lambert.

George graduated from Delehanty High School “Class of 1964”. He relocated to Racine in 1966 and was united in marriage to Audrey Reed. To this union, three children, Jacqueline, George and Christine were born. They were separated in 1975 yet remained friends. George found love again and married Jamie David in 1985 in Racine. At the time of their marriage Jamie had a son, Thomas Lessnau, who George loved and raised as his own. They had a daughter, Amber, together. George was employed with the Racine Fire Department for thirty years working in different capacities as a firefighter and arson investigator before retiring as Battalion Chief in 1999. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. In his spare time, George enjoyed golfing, socializing with his fire fighter buddies, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Above all, George loved his travels around the world, family vacations and time spent with his family.

George will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty years, Jamie; children, Jackie Moes, George (Suzy) Lambert, Christine Scott (Dave Henkel), Tom Lessnau and Amber (Bess) Bajrami; grandchildren, James (Alaina), Drew (fiancée, Sydney Soraghan), and Will Moes, Quinten (Hannah) Scott, Cailey Scott, Cecelia Scott, Eron and Avigail Bajrami, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy “Penny” (Tony) Trentadue, Nancy Dresen (Jay Winkie) and Don (Karen) David; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, George was also preceded in death by his sisters, Cecelia (Dennis) Smith and Patricia (Robert) Coughlin, and son-in-law James Moes.

There will be visitation at the funeral home on Saturday May 2, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of George’s Life service to start at 4:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
