Georgia (Nee: Kroes) Rapaelian, age 100, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022; just 3 days shy of her 101st birthday, at The Villa at Lincoln Park. She was born in Wausaukee, WI, March 31, 1921, one of 12 children of the late Henry and Everdina (Nee: Klassen) Kroes.

Georgia retired from Interlake Steel after 21 years of employment. She was a longtime member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, a member of the Lucynoirs Card Club and member of the Racine Catholic Woman’s Club. Georgia shared her time and talents volunteering at the Racine hospitals and the Racine Historical Museum. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards (poker & blackjack), and socializing with friends and family. Above all she treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda (Richard) Sorensen of Union Grove, Nancy (Rodney) Roscizewski of Parrish, FL; grandchildren, Tracy (Nikki) Roscizewski, Brian Roscizewski, Rebecca Sorensen (Nolan Ryan), Randy (Elizabeth) Sorensen; great grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Bethany, Julianna, Jennifer, Lauren, Ben, Derrick, and Rylee; special friend, Joyce Junge; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings, including her twin brother, George and former husband, John Rapaelian.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave, Friday, April 1, 2022, 11 am with Fr. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10-11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Lucy’s Catholic Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Villa at Lincoln Park and St Croix Hospice Care for their loving and compassionate care.
