Gertrude "Trudy" A. George

Gertrude “Trudy” A. George, age 63, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. Trudy was born in Racine, May 5, 1952, daughter of the late Marion (Nee: Kaplan) and John George Sr.

Trudy was employed by St. Mary’s Medical Center from 1974-1990 until she became disabled. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Trudy was an avid Packer fan and had a passion for traveling. Most of all she cherished time spent with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her brothers and sisters, John George Jr. of Racine, Bernie (Cindy) George of Lake Worth, FL, Thomas (Anne) George of Coon Rapids, MN, Michele (Thomas) Werk, Paula (Byron) Nelson II, Bruce George, all of Racine; her nephews and nieces, Tom (Katie) Werk, Todd (Jaceena) Werk, Matthew George, Hilary (Dan) Piotrowski, Allison George (fiance, Will Dillard), Chris (Alicia) George, Ryan (Jessica) George, Alyssa (Peter) Meier, Megan (Brian) Follick, Emily Nelson, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Ebersole, Byron Nelson III; her great nephews and nieces, Daniel, Amelia “Milly”, and Andrew Werk, Zuzu Marie Werk, Anna and Adam Piotrowski, Conner and Claire George, Adeline and Emma George, Owen and Jace Meier; her feline friend, “Beauty”; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her niece, Rebecca Rose Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015, 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Varghese officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until time of service at 7:30 P.M.
