Life Story / Obituary
Glenn H. Lorence of Caledonia, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday March 13, 2025. He was born on December 4, 1935, in Racine to the late Otto W. and Albina R. (nee Musil) Lorence.
He attended Linwood School and graduated from Wm Horlick High School “Class of 1953”. He worked at Jacobsen Manufacturing for 40 years. In his retirement, he was President of the Bohemian National Cemetery, honoring his Czech Heritage.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife and Czechmate, MaryAnn (nee Buran) married for 63 years; daughters, Katie Janette and Stephanie (Brent) Christenson; grandchildren, Alex and Joe Janette and Marie Christenson; brother-in-law, Walter (Joy Moldenhauer) Fraedrick; sister-in-law, Mary Buran; many cousins in Kansas and very special niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; in laws, Frank and Marie (Zak) Buran Sr.; brothers-in-law, Frank (Odette) Buran Jr and Joseph Buran; sister-in-law, Helen Buran Fraedrich; and son-in-law, Mark Janette.
Funeral services celebrating Glenn’s life will be held at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, Saturday, March 22, 2025, with Rev. Kathy Gloff officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with family for Visitation on Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Bohemian National Cemetery.
