Gordon Patrick White, age 73, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Sunday May 26, He was born in Waukegan, IL, August 25, 1950, son of the late Leo and Patsy (Nee: Wendricks) White.

Gordon was a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champaign. On September 15, 1973, he was united in marriage to Jeannette Rohrbacher. Gordon was employed as a Civil Engineer in Lake County Illinois.

Throughout his early years and adult life, Gordon liked tooting his horn, playing the trumpet. He coached little league, enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing, golfing, playing bridge, poker, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. Above all, it was time spent with his family and grandchildren that he cherished most.

He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his wife, Jeannette of fifty years; children, Douglas (Rachel) White, Jill (Jerry) Hendricks; grandchildren, Isaac and Ivy; siblings: Janice (Gene) Bach, Michael (Sharon) White, Dennis White, Loralee (Charles) Norris, Leigh (Lisa) White, Patricia Lewis, Connie (Dave) Imler, Shawn White; In-laws, Patricia (Dale) Hargrave, Kathryn Selpien; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends. In addition to his parent’s, he was preceded in death by his son, James, brother, Robert, sister Lynette, brother-in- law, George Rohrbacher, sister-in-law, Christine Hayden, and mother and father-in law, Therese and George Rohrbacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Gordon’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 11:30 am, at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. with Rev. Allen Bratkowski officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Tuesday, 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church. Memorials to Special Olympics have been suggested by the family.
