Hilda Campos was born into eternal life on March 20th, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her husband Elio Campos, daughter Maryann (caregiver), and many loved ones that came to visit prior to taking her last breath and running into the arms of Jesus Christ.

Hilda was born in San Antonio, Texas on June 5th, 1958, to Manuel and Gavina Chairez. She was one of 9 Children. Surviving siblings include her sisters Janie, Sylvia, Gloria, and Joanne.

On sunny days, she loved to be sitting outside or gardening. Rarely would you see her without makeup on or her nails painted. She loved listening to music, and she was definitely the one that would be dancing at every event. She loved to play pool. Just a few short days ago she was reminiscing with her nephew Juan (Carol) about how she could beat anyone at pool and how she had people that would line up to play against her. As weak as she was at that moment, she grabbed his hand to get out of bed stating "let's go". Clearly she still had a zest for life and family.

Her biggest passion in life was definitely her love for God. She and Elio attended Grace church for approximately 10 years prior to the unfortunate circumstances that had disabled their ability to continue to attend. Yet, her faith never grew weary. Her faith was expressed in just about every conversation she would have. She was a strong-willed woman with a big heart for her children, and an even bigger heart for her grandchildren. Hilda worked in healthcare for a majority of her life. She had an infectious unforgettable laugh.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughters Marcella and Rya.

She is survived by her seven children. Jose (Gina) Casillas, Alberto (Suzanna) Casillas, Castula Lopez, Maryann Herrera, Cynthia (Francisco) Casillas, Michael Rojel, and Elisabet (Michelle) Hansen.

Surviving grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Brenda (Leonel) Nunez (Elias, Jasiah, and Leo), Isa and Aiden Casillas, Gavin Casillas (Zaela and Niko), Joslyn Casillas, Christian (Kyara) Chairez (Jadiel), Alyssa, Maribel, and Mario Chairez, Hilda (Jessica) Chairez, David Chairez, and Cash Rojel. She is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Hilda's celebration of life will take place at 11:30 am, Friday, March 28th, 2025, at the funeral home, with Rev. Isaac Miller officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation, Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting financial contributions. These can be made to her son, Jose Casillas (262-748-3395). All contributions will help with funeral expenses.

We greatly appreciate all that have contributed and those that can contribute to Hilda's untimely passing. We covet your prayers.

Although our hearts are grieving, we rejoice knowing that she is dancing on streets of gold singing praises to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Forever in our hearts, WE LOVE YOU MOM! See you when we get home.
