Jackie died peacefully Saturday October 12th in the middle of a thunderstorm, Angels welcoming party! Jackie was 97 years old, born Sept 3, 1927. A life long resident of Racine and it’s proudest citizen, she could have run for mayor. She was a mother of 4 children who she instilled love, acceptance and the importance of supporting each other and our community.

She was easy to love because she was so willing to love you back. From being a cheerleader at St Catherine’s, to silver sneakers at the YMCA with her friends at East Park Towers, to walking to the dining hall at St Monica’s. She stayed active and engaged in the world and the people around her. We will miss her joyful spirit, beautiful smile, eternal optimism and loving ways. She will always live in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by: her parents Emil Schoene and Margaret (Collins) Schoene; sister Catherine Jordan and brother-in-law Bruno Jordan; husband of 46 years and always her friend William Drummond; brother E. Thomas Schoene; and son-in-law Bradley Knoche.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her children Mary Kay Knoche; Theresa Treinen (Tim); William Drummond (Susie); Michael Drummond (Mary); brother Michael Schoene (Eileen); sister-in-law Ruth Schoene. Her Grand Children: Erin Laverick (Vince); William Knoche (Kelly); Andrew Knoche (Victoria); Nicole Treinen (Jeff Broom); Laura Treinen (Dave Phillips); Luke Drummond (Jessica); Peter Drummond (Baylee); Natalie Drummond; and Nick Drummond.

Great grandchildren: Lucianna, Samuel, and Leo Laverick; Molly Knoche; Isabella and Bradley Knoche and Everlee Drummond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Mary Kay & Billy for the love and support they gave to our mother over the years. Their kindness and attention to detail have meant the world to us and we are grateful. The family also thanks the dedicated and loving staff at St Monica’s and St Croix Hospice.

Jackie’s celebration of life is Tuesday October 22. Visitation is at St Lucy’s Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave. Visitation 10 AM to 11:30, with Mass following. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5600 Holy Cross Rd.
