James "Jim" LaLonde

James LaLonde,"Jim", age 78, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024.

Jim was born February 22, 1946 in Duluth, Minnesota to Francis and Corrine LaLonde. He grew up in Hermantown, MN and graduated from Hermantown High School. Jim enlisted in the army in 1965 and served in the 4th infantry in Vietnam. He earned The Commendation Medal for his service. After his military service, he earned an Associate Degree in business from Kenosha Technical College.

Jim was employed by McDonald’s, overseeing several stores as a district supervisor. In 1983, he became the proud owner of an A&W Restaurant in Union Grove, WI. Later, the restaurant would become “LaLonde’s Family Restaurant”.

He is survived by his children, Denise (Steve) Jacob, Christopher LaLonde, Michael (Alison) LaLonde, and Scott LaLonde; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his brothers, Jerry (Cathie) LaLonde, Robert (Darla) LaLonde, and Tom LaLonde.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 7, 2024 at 11am, with Reverend John Anderson officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for Visitation on Tuesday from10 am until the time of service.
