James John Schroeder Sr., age 73, passed away at his residence, Monday, September 16, 2024. He was born in Racine, July 11, 1951, son of the late Harold and Colleen (Nee:Christensen) Schroeder.

Jim was employed by Piggly Wiggly Grocery for many years, until his retirement in 2018. In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling, playing softball, baseball and horseshoes. He was a huge NASCAR fan and an avid Wisconsin sports fan, always rooting for the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers. Above all it was time spent with family that he cherished most.

He was loved dearly and will be missed by his significant other, Elaine Chalmers of 20 years; his children, Jim (Courtney) Schroeder Jr., Jackie (Lorne) Jones- Minatelli; stepchildren, Christy (Paul) Wojtowicz, Clint Chalmers (Roxanne Resch); grandchildren, Devin, Greyson and Reese Schroeder, Sophie, Gabi and Max Minatelli, and Nathan Wojtowicz; sister, Carol (Frank) Cobia; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Lynn Schroeder and his brother, Scott Schroeder.

The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home, for a time to meet and greet, Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 9:30am to 11:30am. Memorial contributions may be made to Wisconsin Humane Society or to March of Dimes.
