Janice Ann Zebell

Janice Ann Zebell, age 77, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Lincoln Park. She was born in Racine, WI, daughter of the late William and Alice (Nee: Groulik) Kroes.

Janice graduated from Wm. Horlick High School “Class of 1966” and went on to study cosmetology. On August 30, 1980, she was united in marriage to Russell Zebell. Janice was a licensed hairdresser who worked at Ametek Mfg, in Food Service at Horlick High School and at Walmart.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing, collecting antiques, bird watching, supervising gardening, the backyard fire pit and going to dinner with family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of chocolate, rose bushes, shopping, hydrangeas and Well’s Pizza. Janice treasured time spent with her family, trips to Greece and traveling throughout Europe. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Russ; daughters, Alicea Byrne (Jeremy), Whitney Zebell; special daughters, Jessica Zietz, and Amber Krome; special friend, MaryAnn Bresnehan; other relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Assn or Woof Gang Dog Rescue have been suggested.
