Janice Mary Woodward, age 85, passed away March 8, 2024, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. She was born in Racine, WI, September 6, 1938, daughter of the late Alex and Mae (Nee: Seitz) Muleski.

Janice graduated from St. Catherine’s High School “Class of 1956”. She was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. Janice worked at Twin Disc, Oster’s, 11 years at Jacobsen Mfg, then Getty’s Mfg until she moved to Tupelo, MS in 1985. In Tupelo she worked for Tecumseh Products until 1995 when she returned to Racine to help care for her mother. Following her mother’s death Jan reconnected with the love of her life, David Norton of Brookhaven, MS and they spent 10 years together in Brookhaven before he passed away from Leukemia in 2018. Above all Jan treasured time spent with family. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her nieces and nephew; Mike (Deb) Muleski, Amber (Dave) Stetler; nieces and goddaughters, Karen Muleski, Amy (Matt) Anderson, and Kim Bitto; sister-in-law, Sandra Muleski; special cousins, Diane (Merl) Johnson, Chuck Dahlen, Steve (Marilyn) Dahlen, Gary (Chris) Dahlen, Tom (Nancy) Dahlen, Kathy Dahlen, Joan Dahlen and Peg (Jim) Reschke; many dear friends and relatives. In addition to her parents and David Norton, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dan Muleski; her former husband, Dave Woodward; and 3 infant children.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, March 16, 2024, 10:30 am with Fr. Steve Varghese officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Nepomuk Church or the James A. Peterson Veteran Village - Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin have been suggested.
