Life Story / Obituary
Jerry Lee, age 67, of Racine, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, December 17, 1956, to the union of the late Walter Lee and Bessie Hinton.
Jerry received his formal education at Tilden High School in Chicago, Illinois, Class of 1974. Jerry was employed in Environmental Services in the Healthcare Industry. He was a member of Trinity United Baptist Church.
Jerry had a deep faith, he loved God and going to church. His favorite church songs were Jesus is on the Main Line and Amen by The Impressions. He always enjoyed fishing, flying kites, dancing, and gardening. Jerry enjoyed being around his family and having fun. Jerry will always be remembered for being very sociable, his high sense of humor, cracking jokes and being a prankster, most of all his love of kids and his love for life. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Jerry was a one of a kind man.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kanyatta Lucky and Corrina Brown Moody; his grandchildren, Robert Carradine, Moniquewa Knighten, Shelby C. Brown, Skylar Moody, Cortazjah Williams; his great grandchildren, Coei Caradine, Marahlah Carradine, and Aaliyah Carradine; his siblings, Genevieve Lee, Jeffery Lee; special nephew, Charles Lee; special niece, Nikki Tatum; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents Jerry was preceded in death by his younger brother, Johnny Mullins.
Jerry Lee will truly be missed by his entire family. He always had a few sayings like “Keep Living” and “Life goes on”. Jerry would never say Bye, he would always say “10 – 4 over and out”.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Baptist Church, 306 5th Street, Saturday, December 21, 2024, 11am with Rev. Buddy Vinson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10-11 am.
