Joanne "Joanie" Elizabeth Long

Joanne Elizabeth Long age 82 died peacefully on September 13, 2025 at Oak Park Place, Oak Creek. Joanie was born on April 7, 1943 in South Milwaukee, WI to Roman John Blume and Helen Nora Blume nee Hanley (Dolar). She married her high school sweetheart, the late Dieter Helmut Vujadinovic in 1962. She then married the love of her life, the late Rober Gene Long in 1980.

The oldest of 6 children, she is survived by: Robert (Darlene) Blume, John (Kathy) Blume, Theresa (Anthony) Fischer, and Dave (Rachel) Blume. As well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Mary (John) Miller, her parents: Roman and Helen Blume, and step-father: Marvin Dolar.

Joanie is survived by stepsons: Gregory Longmiller and David (Karen) Long. As well as numerous beloved step-grandchildren and great step-great-grandchildren, Evan Longmiller (Robert Josephson), Chase (Jamie) Longmiller, Zachary, Catherine and Adam Long: Step great-grandchildren, Finley and Cassidy Josephson, Liam and Reece Longmiller. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Mark Long and step-grandson, Jared Long.

Joanie loved traveling, reading, various crafts, and happily shared her exceptional cooking with family and friends.

A private family celebration of life will be held in her honor.

The family wishes to thank the remarkable staff at Oak Park Place and Preceptor Home Health Hospice for their gentle and loving care.

Joanie's smiling face and caring manner will be missed by all.
