Jose Miguel DeLeon Sr. "Pete"

Jose M. DeLeon Sr, affectionately known as “Pete” to his friends and family members, gained his wings after a brief battle with Cancer on February 16, 2024. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home, Friday March 1, 2024. A viewing will begin at 12:00 pm and a service to follow at 1:00 pm.

Jose was born on February 13th, 1968, to Miguel DeLeon and Juanita Pica in Racine, WI. Jose was a son, brother, a loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. Jose enjoyed watching sports, he had a select few favorite teams which included The Dallas Cowboys, The Chicago bulls, and The Chicago cubs. Over the years Jose has worked several different jobs, he even Graduated from Gateway Technical College as a CNC Operator. He also had many friends during his life, but we all knew Mark Chew was his best friend. As Jose always said, “2 tears in a bucket……”, you know the rest.

Jose leaves behind first and foremost his loving wife of 35 years Amy DeLeon as well as their 5 children Maria Hargrove, Jose DeLeon Jr, Christopher DeLeon, Michael DeLeon, and Marissa DeLeon. Jose also has an older son Antonio DeLeon. Jose and his wife Amy have 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Jose also leaves behind his father, Miguel DeLeon; 4 brothers, Eddie (Linda) DeLeon and Edwin DeLeon. Miguel Martinez of and Jorge (Mayra) Martinez. 4 Sisters Lucy DeLeon, Mary Jane (Anthony) Walker, Maria (Anthony) Pica Lockett, and Melva (Clarence) DeLeon, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many more relatives.

Jose was preceded in death by his mother Juanita Pica, great grandson Messiah DeLeon, 2 Grand son’s Cassidy DeLeon and Isaiah Gonzales. His brother Adalberto DeLeon, Sister’s Carmen Urban, Edna DeLeon, and Evelyn DeLeon. Grandparents Eugenia Pica-Lugo, Torbio Pica, Silzeria Delgado-DeLeon, and Geraldo DeLeon.
