Kathleen C. Schmid

With her family by her side, Kathleen Claire Schmid, age 82, passed away at her home peacefully on Sunday August 16, 2020. Kathleen was born in Hubbell, MI on March 13, 1938, daughter of the late Homer and Margaret (nee: O’Neil) Perrault.

Kathy was a proud graduate of Dollar Bay High School “Class of 1956”. On November 30, 1963, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Albert H. Schmid at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Hubbell, MI. They moved to Racine in 1964 and raised two daughters, Lisa and Laura. Kathy was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and cross-stitching. Above all, Kathy will be best remembered for her great love and devotion to her family.

Kathy will be dearly missed by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Albert; her daughters, Lisa (Nick) Comande, Laura (David) Popadic; grandchildren, Rachel Comande, Sara and Matthew Popadic; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Fred Elenich.

Private family services and interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.
