Kim Joanne Steffenson

Kim Joanne Steffenson, age 67, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee following a stroke. She was born in Racine, WI, daughter of Roger and Joyce (Nee: Demant) Kaiser.

Kim graduated from Union Grove High School “Class of 1976”. On September 24, 1983, at Emmaus Lutheran Church she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Cory H. Steffenson. Kim had been employed at Rural Insurance, Philadelphia Insurance and for the past 30 years at Aurora Health Care. She was a talented artist, who loved music from “the 70’s", old shows and old movies. Above all she treasured time spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, gratndmother, daughter, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Cory; son, Lucas Steffenson (Mary), grandchildren, Lilli Ann Marie, Sylas; her mother, Joyce Kaiser; sister, Sue (Willie) Maryland; sisters-in-law, Danny (Jack) Sulik, Denise (Mark) Krueger; nieces, nephew, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Kaiser and nephew, William Maryland III.

Funeral services will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St., Saturday, January 17, 2026, 11 am. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 10-11 am. Private interment will be held at North Cape Lutheran Church Cemetery.
