Life Story / Obituary

With her family by her side, LeeAnn Claire Winsjansen, passed away early Monday, July 13, 2026, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. She was born in Marinette, WI daughter of Sylvan and Vivian (Nee: Johnson) Jossart.

LeeAnn was employed in administration at The Prairie School for 20 years, retiring in 2012. On September 9, 1990, she was united in marriage to James P. Winsjansen. LeeAnn enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to run, hike, bike, kayak, camp, garden and travel. Her many adventures included backpacking in Peru, Alaska, and Europe and biking the New England countryside along with several trips to Italy. She was a Master Gardener and belonged to the Wind Point Garden Club. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her husband, Jim; daughters, Lori (Michael) Lunow, Shelly (Edward) Hewitt, Jackie Foreman-Paul (Steven Paul); grandchildren, Joshua (Diana) Lunow, Jacob Lunow, and David Paul; brothers, Gerald (Colleen) Jossart, Mark (Debbie) Jossart; step-grandson, Shawn Hewitt; step-great-grandchildren, Nehemiah and Jayce Hewitt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother and sister-in-law Ronald and Margaret Jossart.

A visitation with friends and relatives will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10-11 AM. A memorial service for LeeAnn's relatives and close friends will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Wheeler officiating.

Memorials to St. Jude Research Children's Hospital have been suggested in lieu of flowers.
