Linda L Fidler, age 81, the lovely bride of Warren Fidler, has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She went peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Parkview Gardens in Racine while in the arms of her loving husband of 34 years. Born in Milwaukee on October 16, 1942, Linda was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Nee: Morton) Jackson Jr.

After graduating from Wauwatosa West High School in the class of 1961, Linda worked briefly in the insurance department at Johnson Controls before marrying Bill Chambers on August 25, 1962. They had three insanely amazing children in their 26 years together, during which time Linda was an Organist at Racine Bible Church. Later she was an Organist at Grace Baptist Church, which is where she met Warren Fidler. They were married on March 10, 1990, and became active members of St Rita Parish in Racine.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was her children, and later her grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for animals while living on a small “farmette” in Racine County for 20 years. She was creative and enjoyed arts and crafts, piano and organ music, swimming and being active in church. She began playing piano and organ in church as a teenager and continued into her senior years. She was a Teacher’s Aide at Wadewitz Elementary helping with an occupationally impaired student and a church secretary at Grace Baptist Church. In addition, she taught piano lessons, swimming, life guarding and Sunday School. Faith and family gave her purpose and dominated all she did.

Linda had a vibrant personality and was loved by all who knew her. She was especially loved and will be missed by her husband, Warren Fidler; her children, Bob Chambers, Tom (Julie) Chambers and Ruth Wojak; her five grandchildren, Joshua (Ryan Watkins) Chambers, Anna (Derek) Sergent, Sarah (Joe) Taylor, Billy Wojak, and Mickey Wojak; her brother Tom (Kathy Grant) Jackson; and by her beloved furry friend, Bixbee.

Funeral Services celebrating Linda’s life will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am on Thursday, August 15, 2024, with Rev. Marco Valentini officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation at 10:00am until time of service at the funeral home. Internment with Warren’s full military honors will be held at 3:00 at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Dover.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Parkview Gardens for their loving and compassionate care.
