Linda Mary Newman

Linda Mary Newman, age 83, passed away peacefully, Friday September 11, 2026, at Hospice Alliance House, Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Racine, WI, on Christmas Day, 1942, daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Nee: Chester) LaMack.

Linda attended Wm Horlick High School. She was employed as a CNA with Lincoln Lutheran Home. She married James Christiansen and they were blessed with 4 sons, Daniel, Dean, Peter and Paul. On October 18, 1993, she was remarried to Ronald E. Newman and they were married for 28 years until Ron passed August 18, 2021.

In her pastime Linda enjoyed the outdoors, birdwatching, gardening, reading, arts & crafts, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. She will be remembered for being lighthearted, sarcastic and for her love of dogs. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sons, Dean (Tina) Christiansen, Peter (Denean) Christiansen, Paul (Beth) Christiansen; daughter-in-law, Tonya Christiansen; grandchildren, Jacklyn, Eric, Erin, Anna (Victor), Kelsey (Brian); 8 great grandchildren; sister, Caroll Welch; sister-in-law, Arlene LaMack; special friend, Kitty; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ron, she was preceded in death by her son, Daniel, her grandson Cory; grandson-in-law, Chris; brothers, Jim (Joan) LaMack, David LaMack; nephew, Michael LaMack; and former husband, James Christiansen.

Funeral services will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St. Saturday, September 26, 2026, 11 am. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet prior to service 10 – 11 am.
